Tri-Arc’s Ambassador steel rolling ladders are the leading choice among ladders needed in all types of environments when working from height both safely and productively are essential to the job. The Ambassador ladders are available is a wide range of sizes to accommodate the varying needs of height in the work area. Choose from either The Ambassador P or The Ambassador G tread designs based on the environment in which the work will be performed. All of the models are equipped with hand rails and guardrails to provide the safety and comfort when ascending, descending and performing work from the ladder. Tri-Arc’s Ambassador Ladder model is engineered and manufactured in compliance with OSHA 1910.29 and ANSI A14.7 standards. Some additional features include gray powder coated paint finish, 16” Wide steps (3 – 4 step models) & 24” wide step (5 – 15 step models), spring-loaded casters (3-5 step models) and positive locking system (5-15 step models), and 10” deep top platform . Here is what I think is happening. There has been a great deal of interest in pursuing mystical, esoteric, spiritual mysteries. People have been jumping on the band wagon of spiritual pursuit, both traditional practices and "commercialized" versions of enlightenment. What I am suggesting is that one needs psychological healing in psychotherapy before spiritual work is effective.

What is a spiritual bypass then? It is when you are not recovered from your psychological wounding, and to heal you become involved in a spiritual pursuit. Thinking this is "THE" answer to everything that has been bothering you. The outcome often is feeling let down, one loses faith and trust.

The ability to trust, have faith and have discipline to practice true spiritual pursuits requires one to have a balanced psychological foundation. With out this you are bypassing work and jumping to spirit to find peace and balance. You have no foundation to support this work and it will collapse.

Here is one example of how this might happen. Early psychological wounding (first year of life) can result in an impaired ability to form healthy attachments. The wounding to early consciousness needs to be repaired in order to provide a balanced, solid foundation. Someone wounded in this way will attach to the people and practices of the tradition in a dysfunctional way. They might want to be controlled (taken care of), becoming dependent on, or becoming so disappointed by the humanness of their companions that they reject all.

Do yourself a favor. Heal yourself in the emotional and mental realms first. Do not try to climb the ladder to the divine until the lower rungs of your ladder have been repaired.

First make sure the basics in your life are handled. You have a secure home and way of maintaining your day to day living. Then heal your psyche. Seek a therapist or group to work through any wounds, patterns or beliefs that are destructive.Counseling can help you discern what is truly healthy for you. Now when you begin your spiritual journey you are prepared to respond to the wonderful fulfillment as well as the disappointments, and frustrations along the way.

We hear the statement "disadvantages of barcode scanners" from time to time and as we probe the customers that believe this we find a common theme. Most customers that believe there are disadvantages of barcode scanners are customers that are not using them and keep a well managed manual system in place because it works for them.

Many manufacturers and distributors still manage inventory on log sheets and with index card systems. This was a tried and true method for years, but in today's world of speed and error free work, you should not rely on your employees always getting the number right. The advantage of the barcode scanner is that it reads what is there. There is no way the scanner can transpose numbers or recognize the number 0 as a letter o or a number 1 with a letter l. There are many human error elements that lead to duplicate work because of errors and the barcode scanner prevents the errors of transposing and mis-reading number and letter characters.

Now the disadvantages of barcode scanners are usually perceived as cost, change, and durability of the rough environment that customers may think, there is no way we can automate. Well, lets look at each disadvantage at a time.

The disadvantage of a barcode scanner because of cost is a real easy one to tackle. The costs have really come down on both inventory management software packages and barcode scanning hardware. The payback in time saved due to error free work and the speed in which cycle counts and inventories can be done can provide a return on the investment within 3-4 months. Not bad!

The disadvantage of barcode scanners when it comes to change is referencing change to the work place. Many organizations that have been in business for many years have really tweaked their processes and have many employees that have been trained and know the current way of doing things. Well, to keep up with the competitive nature of business, change must be a part of the plan. Adding barcode scanning capabilities is really not that big of a change. If you think about it, the scanner really only writes the data for the employee. So, it really does not change much, it just makes the process easier and employees usually embrace it. Really, who likes to hand right everything anyway?

Now we are down to the last issue of durability as a disadvantage of barcode scanners. Today, barcode scanners are designed for all kinds of environments from libraries to industrial steel plants. If durability is what you want, take a look at this workhorse that has been around for over 10 years. It is the Quick Scan 6000, now replaced by the QS3800. This scanner is known as the Hammer! Over the years it has been run over by forklifts, dropped from high ladders, covered in ash and it still keeps scanning. There are many newer models in the market today, but that is an example on durability in a barcode scanner.

This guide will give you an introduction to the types of cherry pickers out there, and help you decide which is right for your task.

Types of cherry picker lift

There is a huge choice of kit available in the cherry picker market, which is good news because it means whatever the job, there should be the perfect machine to fit. But the variety of machines available, and the sometimes conflicting terminology used by different companies to describe them, can be confusing. So here's a general introduction to the types of machine's available, the types of job they are best for, and the different terms you may see used to describe them.

Up-and-down or side-to-side?

Cherry picker aerial lifts break down into two main groups, each covering a wide variety of equipment. The first group is the boom-type lift - broadly speaking, a jointed lift that raises a platform upwards, and also outwards. Specialist boom lifts

In recent years boom lift manufacturers have developed some very specialised pieces of access equipment designed for particular working conditions. Scissor Lifts

Mobile, practical and versatile, scissor lifts use a mechanism to lift a caged platform vertically. This might be a criss-cross scissor mechanism, or one of several other designs. In life and in his book, this eminent scientist hoped to heighten awareness to the exponential immensity constituting our interstellar existence, to quantification in microscopic beginnings, to infinite potential in meaning and purpose for our own existence, and to "Thoughts on Life and Death at the Brink of the Millennium." Early on, Sagan advises, "If you know a thing only qualitatively, you know it no more than vaguely. If you know it quantitatively -- grasping some numerical measure that distinguishes it from an infinite number of other possibilities -- you are beginning to know it deeply."

An outspoken iconoclast, to both leftist and rightist extremes, Sagan advocated urgent attention to our headlong plunge toward an uninhabitable earth. And, of course, he was right; differing political systems attempt to advance agreement with his notion of patrimony and environment preservation. Even so, we call attention to Sagan's rise to the top of his profession; thus, he becomes the greater consumer rather than greater environmentalist. At the ladder top, he urges lower rung climbers to lesser energy expenditures as they attempt ladder ascendance; yet, despite these imposed limitations, even those at the bottom would, like Sagan, spend the necessary energy to enjoy a view from the top. At the top, Sagan recommends global effort to bring living standards to optimum levels. At the end, Sagan admitted: he would love to believe, at the advent of death, he would live again, that some thinking, feeling, remembering part of him would continue. But as much as he wanted to believe and despite the ancient and worldwide traditions asserting an afterlife, he knew of nothing to suggest it as more than wishful thinking. He lived as he died, setting forth logic as a guiding principle, at peace with himself, and trusting in scientific intellection. Was he correct in all his deductions? Yet, his was a strong voice condemning our selfish quest for industrial superiority, to energy foolhardiness, and to our tendency toward supernatural dependency. In this, he was right on target!

Why Use a Scaffold Tower Instead of a Step Ladder?

Scaffolding towers have become very popular pieces of DIY equipment, all over the web you can see them advertised and hire companies promote them massively. Why have they become so popular and why can't you just use a step ladder?

It is fair to say that many tasks that you can do in a scaffold tower - particularly the towers aimed at the DIY market - could be carried out on a step ladder so why should you bother with going to the hassle of setting up a scaffold tower? Here are just two situations where a scaffold tower is a much better option than a ladder:

Uneven Ground

Using a step ladder safely on uneven ground is next to impossible - if you're using it outside and the land slopes away from your property there is no way that you are going to be able to use a step ladder. However, you can get scaffold towers that have adjustable legs which allow up to 18" of adjustment. Having this amount of adjustment means that you can safely set up the tower so that the platform you are working from is horizontal. Conversely to this I have never seen a ladder that has adjustable legs.

Trimming the top of a long tall hedge

Trimming a hedge can be a painful exercise - you set up your ladder, put the secators in your pocket, cling on to the shears and climb up to the top of the ladder and then precariously lean to trim your hedge in to shape. The reality of this method is that you can only safely trim within a 3' radius of the ladder - which is probably about a minutes work, after this you're back down the ladder (with the tools), moving it along the length of the hedge and the process begins again...back up the ladder... Even basic scaffolding towers have a platform length of about 5' so this give an obvious advantage straight away over using a step ladder - one climb up the scaffolding tower and you can easily trim 11' of hedge. You can leave your tools at the top whilst you climb down and push the tower along the length of the hedge.

You may argue in both of these situations that it seems like a lot of effort to go to to setup a scaffold tower to trim a hedge or clear out some guttering. The reality is though that these scaffold towers come in kits that are so easily to assemble that the time it takes you to put the tower together will be far less than the time taken to go up and down a ladder 50 times.
